SWEDISH FOR IMMIGRANTS - IN ENGLISH

Being able to live comfortably and integrate into the Swedish society requires you to learn a few things including the language, how society works, what you need to get a job in Sweden, and how to get all the required qualifications. Swedish for immigrants, or “sfi”, is a great start for you to reach all that.

Hermods offers sfi-courses both for people already living in Sweden, and online sfi-courses outside of Sweden for people considering moving here.

Hermods offers both remote and classroom sfi-courses for people already living in Sweden, and online sfi-courses for people outside of Sweden who’s considering moving here.

STUDY SWEDISH AT HERMODS SFI-COURSES

You will learn Swedish in an easy and fast way with our sfi-courses. Our educated sfi-teachers will help you and you will use a computer when studying. It is easy to learn Swedish for immigrants at Hermods sfi.

What sfi Sweden-course you should study depends on how much Swedish you know. If you want to study Swedish in Sweden, Hermods is the best place to do it. At Hermods you can study sfi when and where it suits you.

Education in Swedish for immigrants (sfi) consists of three study paths (1, 2 and 3) and four courses (A, B, C and D). Courses B and C can be either beginners' or advanced courses depending on the study path they are part of. At Hermods you can read all courses from 1A to 3D.

If you are new in Sweden we can offer you the following services and education; Swedish for immigrants (sfi) and Swedish for a profession (Yrkessvenska). Read more under each section.

CRITERIA FOR IMMIGRANTS TO STUDY SFI-COURSES

You have the right to participate in municipal adult education in Swedish for immigrants, sfi, from the second calendar half of the year when you turn 16. This is conditional upon meeting the following criteria:

Reside legally in Sweden, this means being registered in the Swedish tax agency (Skatteverket) and have a personal number (personnummer).
Be over 16 years old.
You lack the basic knowledge of the Swedish language (it is okay to have a little bit of prior Swedish knowledge).

STUDY SFI REMOTELY

If you do not live in any of the above-mentioned city’s, you can also choose to study sfi - Swedish for immigrants remotely. When you study Swedish for immigrants remotely, it means that you take part in your course on the internet and can study at home, in a park, in a café or where it suits you. All you need is a computer and internet connection.
